GM crop rally at Sealand - 14 July

There will be a rally at Wales' only remaining GM crop on sat July 14th , Sealand, Flintshire.

Hundreds of people are expected to attend a national rally in North Wales at
Sealand, Flintshire near Chester on Saturday 13th July to demonstrate against Wales only GM crop. Radical journalist/ author George Monbiot and the MEP for Wales, Jill Evens will address the rally at 11 a.m. in the Connah's Quay Civic Hall, Sealand. At 2.30 p.m. the rally will re-assemble at the field of GM crops about 1 mile from Chester off the A548 road.

The GM Free Wales Campaign will start the Action Day with a public seminar
'GM on Trial' at Connah's Quay Civic Hall, Sealand starting at 11 a.m.

The meeting will be chaired by Plaid Cymru MEP Jill Evans, who is a member
of the Environment and Public Health Committee of the European Parliament.
Ms Evans, who represents the whole of Wales in the European Parliament has
consistently campaigned against GM crops. The crop at Sealand has been grown
despite overwhelming opposition locally, throughout Wales and nationally.
